Burning of the carnivals mascot in Mošćenička Draga

The traditional burning of the carnival doll takes place on Ash Wednesday. In Mošćenička Draga which is celebrating this event for the 37th year, the famous Gobo – the character guilty for everything - will be once again put into a rocket and launched into space!

18th Bell – ringers Festival Matulji

At the festival each year participate more than 1,500 participants and several thousand visitors. Festival starts at 13.00 with a parade of kindergarten Matulji and other carnival groups from Matulji, and then around 13:30 starts the Review of bell- ringers from Croatia and abroad.

30th BALINJERADA

Opatijan Balinjerada 2013. celebrates its 30th Jubilee. The event takes place on the main street from the hotel "Bristol" to Slatina. As in any real race rehearsals begin in 10.00 o'clock, and the main race at noon.

Children's Carnival parade Opatija 2013

Opatija will turn on 27 January in a great tale, full of princesses, trees that walk, cartoon characters and fantasy that will once again delight of all who participate in and follow the Children's Carnival parade Opatija 2013.

Opatija Association of anti-fascists in cooperation on the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day is organizing for all high school students in Opatija, and citizens special programme entitled, as in previous years - Memento.

HALUBJE CARNIVAL

HALUBJE CARNIVAL - it dates from 1999, with a long-standing tradition of organizing Halubje bell-ringers. Carnival is held the first Saturday after the Hoist, as the favorite event that brings together about 4,000 masked participants and visitors .
