Independent production in Croatia has a long tradition (remember Teatar u gostima, Tetar Gavran, etc.), but also a rather constricted basis, so this is the right opportunity to establish itself on the national level. With this initiative, the Festival Opatija opened perhaps a new chapter in the Croatian theatrical life, but it certainly stirred the interests of the audience eager to feel some different vibrations, the kind that independent production carries. There is no doubt that independent productions have been waiting for such an opportunity, and they will present themselves in the range from the Guinness recorder of “Stilske Vježbe” to the shows for children and an alternative approach to the theatre.

Klapa "Nevera" there are more than twenty years in virtually unchanged composition. During the years of work, Nevera has made numerous appearances at home and abroad (Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Hungary, France, Germany, Czech Republic) successfully presenting Croatian and local track.

10:00 to 13:00 The exhibition of classic cars on Easter Monday, in front of Hotel Milenij
Oldtimers - The oldest date from the first half of the last century, will be presented to the public at the traditional exhibition of classic cars on Easter Monday. This event causes great attention of visitors and passers-by, who have the opportunity to take the tour with luxury cars that despite their many decades long lifespan, thanks to the efforts of their owners, still look like new.
The "PUTOKAZI" choir/band (PUTOKAZI = The SIGNPOSTS) from Croatian city of Rijeka are a unique musical phenomenon on the Croatian music scene. They are a band which has been successfully resisting all attempts of categorization and selection to a standard musical department. Their unusual formula, which does not tolerate fast consumption, combines part-singing, dancing and movement thus creating a unique audio-visual experience that is pleasing for both the listeners (viewers) and the performers.

Every year, “Kvarner Expo” will attract numerous exhibitioners from all over Croatia, so tourists staying in Opatija during that time may see and find out everything they want to know about original Croatian souvenirs in one place. Judging by the experience until now, the exhibition should satisfy everyone’s tastes and wishes. The organizers of the exhibition are the Chamber of Trade of Primorsko-Goranska County, Opatija Trade Association and Alpe Adria Expo from Opatija, with the participation of the representatives of all Croatian counties.
