The Acoustic Project ensemble was founded by two members of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orhestra: flutist Renata Penezić, and double bass player Dubravko Palanović. Incentive to found the ensemble came from their interest in unusual sound combinations, and exploration of new possibilities in sound by combining seemingly incongruous instruments. The ensemble promotes the composers of the 20th and 21st centuries, and aims to encourage and inspire Croatian composers to experiment with the sound. Each concert is a new beginning, a new idea, a new experiment - a new acoustic project.
