The ambient opera “Cavalleria rusticana” is a winner of the Novi List Award for the most integral event at Rijeka Summer Nights in 2010 and two Public's Awards in 2010 and 2011, while Kristina Kolar has received the “Milka Trnina” Award for the part of Santuzza.
„The conductor Nada Matošević and the director Ozren Prohić have unveiled Grivica Square, in front of St. Vitus Cathedral, as a stage for the popular Mascagni's opera “Cavalleria rusticana”. The location revealed phenomenal for this unique ambient performance. Everything this opera requires is there: a church in the middle, a pub on its left side and an additional area in front of the church as the village's square, together with a warm summer night and a grandstand for around three-hundred spectators. The greatest enthusiasm lays in the natural acoustic of the location. With its beginning music notes and an excellent play of choirs scorning Santuzzi, her drama begins to unveil.
“Cavalleria” shines with a true Sicilian-Littoral, that is, authentic Mediterranean atmosphere. The success of the performance ensured her a future at next year's festivals. “
