Rijeka's Philharmonic is a regular at Rijeka Summer Nights festival. Ever since the first unforgettable concert in the former Torpedo factory, these concerts have won its faithful festival audience because of the true musical experiences they offer. In 2012 the concert held in Hartera has generated such exhilaration with its excellence that it resulted in two festival awards: both the Audience's Choice and the Novi List Award for the most comprehensive experience of Rijeka Summer Nights. The same concert received the Milka Trnina Diploma in 2012 from the Croatian Society of Musical Artists. This year, in collaboration with the Croatian Musicians Union of Primorsko-goranska County, the concert will bring a unique combination of Rijeka's rock scene and the classical sounds of Rijeka's Philharmonic. The repertoire will present some of the biggest hits of older and newer "generation", while the rock stars will take a shot at some of the most beautiful pieces of operatic literature. All this in special arrangements with the participation of Rijeka's choir "Jeka Primorja".
