Race for the heart - 5,000 steps for a healthy heart

Organized by the City of Opatija, Thalassotherapy, Rijeka University Sports Federation and Catering School Opatija, under the auspices of the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Science, Education and Sports and the University of Rijeka will host sports - charity event called "Race for the heart."

Start of the race, 1,800 m long, is scheduled for 29 September at 10:00 am in front of the sports hall Marino Cvetkovic, the goal is beach Slatina, where will take place street basketball tournament and beach volleyball. The race is being organized on the occasion of World Heart Day and Police Day - Saint Michael. Humanitarian aspect of the event is to raise funds for the purchase of a defibrillator for a new sports hall.

The day after the race, organized by the Police Station in Opatija Slatina, there will be demonstration and exhibition of the police equipment, while the catering school will be prepared healthy breakfast which will bring together many distinguished guests.
