A new music festival in the Hotel Kvarner's Crystal Hall – Orchesterakademie Ossiach with the members of the Vienna Philharmonic!

THE ORCHESTRA ACADEMY OSSIACH (OAO)

The Orchestra Academy Ossiach was founded in 2009, as an educational initiative for highly talented orchestral musicians of Europe, lead by the members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. A remarkable fact is that the members of Vienna Philharmonic are not only teaching the academic musicians, but playing in this orchestra as well. All academic musicians gain their places through a rigorous selection procedure of the Orchestra. Due to the high quality performans characteristics, the most famous conductors and soloists are interested to work with Orchestra Academy Ossiach.

It is based in the Monastery from the 11th century in Ossiach, which was recently restored and extended.
