Kandelora or Candlemas

The most important day for Mošćenice is celebrating the Kandelora or Candlemas, when the believers carry candles to the dedication of the Church of St.. Andrew, this date was declared a historic day of Mošćenice, solemnly celebrated every year in early February. A few centuries or Candlemas, 2nd febraja or February, people were electing their county, a judge, buoyant, Captain and other councilors, and on the basis of its statutes and laws managed to survive, even under the rule of various foreign feudal lords, the continuity of the relatively high self-government.
