The 11th Wood Technology Conference will be organized in June 2nd-3th in Opatija (Croatia). Parallel the 4th International Conference on Interior Design will take place, to achieve the higher concentration of the presence of decision makers from the institutional, scientific and economic environment given that the wood processing industry and hotel sector are among the most important sectors of the Croatian economy. Therefore socially responsible public procurement and improving the quality of furnishing, construction, use of energy from renewable energy and the use of other sustainable products are basics for their further development. For that purpose the national and international experts are going to present the latest trends in design and furnishing of hotels and the leading Croatian media will be also present.

National cultural and tourist campaign "Friends of the Sea" was initiated in 2009 by the Livingstone association and the company Astoria from Rijeka. The aim is to present the photography exhibition on large formats, open air, in 15 Croatian cities (every year from May to September), to Croatian public and to all the visitors, in order to draw attention to the role of photography in media culture and its social responsibility, and permanent value in promoting ecology and preservation of the Adriatic Sea. After the trilogy with themes of underwater, surface of the sea and essays on the Mediterranean, the fourth edition of this fascination exhibition presents valuable materials from the archives of museums, galleries, photo clubs and private collections.

Slide 1Nikola Tesla EV Rally 2014 is a rally of electric vehicles, the international event with the highest prize money fund in the world. Rally will be held for the first time, in Croatia, from 27th till 31st of May 2014. The idea is that the rally is held every year on previously selected locations which amount to an average doistance of 150 km per day from the site starting to the target location, with accompanying program consisted of promotional activities through fun, and with the participation of sponsors, partners and environmentally-minded companies and individuals who will support the project by participating.
