Sailing Regatta "Homo si bordižat" (Open) organized by Sailing Club Opatija, traditionally has been sailed during the summer season. This year, "Homo si bordižat" Regatta sails from Opatija to Volosko, on the occasion of "Days of Opatija." In the case of mistral, the route will be: Lovran-Opatija-Volosko-Opatija, with start and finish in front of the port of Opatija.

2nd Memorial international water polo tournament U14 "Krunoslav Brguljan" will be held at Volosko from 23rd to 24th of July 2011.
The tournament for juniors is organized in memory of the early deceased founder and first president of Opatija's water polo team, former national team player.
