The 4rd „Vienna Week“ in Opatija will take place from 21-26 October 2013, thanks to the ongoing excellent collaboration between the main organizer, Andreas Madejski, and the cities of Vienna and Opatija. For seven days the occasion will feature exclusive gastronomic delights, a round-table with renowned experts from Vienna and Opatija, an exhibition, musical evenings and dancing nights, children’s workshops and a charity event.

Children's Week is a traditional annual action and activities dedicated to children. Children's Week each year includes children and adults in cities and municipalities where operate basic Societies Our Children (DND).
Held in the first full week of October and lasts for seven days, this year from 7th October 2013 - The International Children's Day and ends on Sunday, 13 October 2013
The first weekend of October are the days of tasting the new wine, the popular belica, an authentic white wine of Kastav region. Bela nedeja is not only a new wine fair but also a day when old crafts are presented, various goods are on sale, numerous stalls with drinks and food are set up and a variety of events take place. Bela nedeja has a centuries-old tradition and it is even mentioned in The Law of the City of Kastav from 1400.

Traditional manifestation of national minorities in Rijeka - Ethno Festival, which this year takes place for 17th time, organized by the City of Rijeka, the Croatian Music Union and all Rijeka national minority associations will be held on 28th and 29 September at the Italian Community and Czech home. At the 17th Ethno festival will perform more than 220 musicians, singers and dancers.
