The 7th Festival of Chakavian Chansons ČAnsonfest – Kastav 2011 will be held again this year, like in previous years, at the close of the 20th Kastav Summer of Culture, and will open on 26th August. Like in its four previous editions, the 7th ČAnsonfest will have both a production and competitive character, as the festival also stimulates the creations of new compositions. The best compositions entered in the competition of the 7th ČAnsonfest will compete for festival prizes and the prize fund: Award for Best Lyrics, Award for Best Composition– ČAnson, Award for Best Interpretation and Public’s Choice Award.

Area of ex military barracks at Trsat will host various programs. Fall Fest is a complete DIY ( do it yourself ) project, aiming to promote urban culture, sports, music and entertainment, and this year it's being held for the second time. Fall Fest consists of four stages: Rock The Stage, Save The Vinyl Stage, Nobody Told Me Stage i Be-Bop-A-Lula Stage. Fall Fest is hosted by Balkan Kolektiv in a cooperation with Riječko pleme organization. Croatian Austrian DJ and fashion icon Virgin Helena performs at the Colosseum Opatija on 20.8.2011. " THIS BOOTS ARE MADE FOR WALKING" .Virgin Helena is not your typical DJ, whether it be behind the DJ desk or at the party, she is always in the limelight. Famous for being the first Croatian female DJ. Musical support will be members of Clubsound, Alex Ivanov, who will spin a DJ set as the final icing on the cake, DJ Nathan Hunt with a warm-up dance floor, and CareAss on the djembe.
