After humanitarian concert “Night to remember” with Jose Carreras, Michael Bolton and Tony Cetinski, with an escort of Simphony Orcestra HRT, under the guidance of maestro Davida Gimeneza, in popular Hall Cibona in Zagreb, we will have the opportunity to listen and see the peace of this spectacle in Rijeka. 3. Jazz Ex tempore:Workshop Tradition in transition: from traditional Sardenian music to jazz Enzo Favata (Sardenia, Italy)

Enzo FavataEnzo Favata is one of the most active and well-known Sardinian musicians. He plays the saxophone and sopranino sax other wind instruments, above all ethnic ones from Sardinia. His research joins the arcane and the modern, experimenting with different languages and musical cultures.
After having played traditional jazz for some years, 1992. he make the Jana Project - a project which weds ethnic music from other parts of the world with jazz improvisation.
During the same period he developed another project with the guitarist Marcello Peghin and the percussionist Roberto Pellegrini: Tangram Trio, an experimental group in the field of contemporary jazz and vanguard music, halfway between minimalism, noise music and underground. In 1995 this group won a European competition in Poitiers as best improvising group.
Alongside the concert experience was that of musical production for soundtracks working with RAI, radio and television, dance and theatre.
At the start of 1993 he debutted as the composer of soundtracks for cinema, putting his name to the music of a film“With love ….Fabia” by the Italian director Maria Teresa Camoglio. The experience was repeated in 1995 with the film by the director Antonello Grimaldi “The sky is ever bluer” presented at international film festival of Berlin.
1997 saw an important collaboration with a master of the Argentine bandoneon, Dino Saluzzi. This collaboration was recorded on the Cd Ajò. The disc had been placed in the best discs of 1997 according to the World Music Charts Europe
Yuri Golubev
Yuri GolubevBorn in Moscow, Russia, in 1972. Receiving his Master’s Degree in double bass as a soloist and chamber music performer from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 1995 (where he has also studied classical composition).
In 2002 Yuri becomes the youngest bass player ever in the history of both USSR and Russia to be awarded the prestigious title of the Honored Artist of Russia by President.
From 1991 till 1992 Yuri performs with the famed Bolshoi Opera, and from 1992 till 2004 holds a position of the Principal Bass with one of the world’s most noted chamber orchestras with one of the world's most noted chamber orchestras - Moscow Soloists directed by Yuri Bashmet. In this way he collaborated with some of the top classical artists: Thomas Quasthoff, Lynn Harrell, James Galway, Gidon Kremer, Barbara Hendricks, Sviatoslav Richter, Mstislav Rostropovich, Vladimir Spivakov, Maxim Vengerov.
Has also performed with such orchestras as l'Orchestra Filarmonica del Teatro alla Scala and l'Orchestra Filarmonica Toscanini and wrote a number of jazz and chamber music works as well as bass transcriptions and arrangements. Some of these works are published in Russia, Germany and the United States. In addition, he has lead diverse master classes in the field of both classical and jazz music in the United States, England, Ireland and Italy.
After many years of a splendid career in classical field, Yuri moves to Milan and dedicates himself exclusively to what he considers his “true call”: jazz music.
In his "adopted home", Italy, he rapidly attracts attention of many important Italian musicians, and this brings him numerous collaborations with such artists asEnrico Pieranunzi, Rosario Giuliani, Franco Cerri, Glauco Venier, Claudio Fasoli, Giovanni Falzone, Guido Manusardi, Gianni Cazzola, Massimo Manzi, and many other musicians from overseas Adam Nussbaum, Miles Griffith, Gwilym Simcock, Asaf Sirkis, and others.
