The renowned Lovran cherry is very similar to the well-known Lambert sort. The locals called them Brtosinka and their quality and taste is well known and highly regarded. During the Cherry Festival, held in the month of June, Lovran's taverns and restaurants offer cherry deserts and/or meals featuring cherries.The Cherry Festival ends with an organized Cherry Feast. During the day, one will be able to purchase freshly picked Lovran cherries, taste cherry cakes and treats, or buy original Lovran souvenirs. While in the evening, the Festival ends with the slicing of a giant Lovran strudel (a 10 m long strudel) and performances by various folklore ensembles.

ECArTE - The European Consortium for Arts Therapies Education was founded in 1991.
ECArTE is a consortium of Universities. Its primary purpose is to represent and encourage the development of the Arts Therapies at a European level, in particular the courses offering nationally validated and professionally recognised training for arts therapists. (The Arts Therapies include art therapy, dance therapy, drama therapy and music therapy)

During the Asparagus Festival, many restaurants and taverns will offer meals featuring asparagus and on the Final Events day, the traditional Asparagus Feast will be held, as well as the Liburnia Accordion Festival, planned music program and raffle. Later, in the evening, a giant frittata will be made in a 2 m diameter frying pan with 1000 eggs and 30 kg of asparagus

Sunday, February 15th is the day for traditional Lovran carnival parade. Many share the opinion that Lovran carnival parade is the closest to the tradition of Liburnia's masking. The relaxed atmosphere and the festivities on the Lovran's mole attracts lively crowd.

Carnival time in Lovran
In Lovran in the course of Carnival, festivities and children’s Carnival gatherings are held every weekend, and the main event is the International Carnival parade on Ash Wednesday - the end of masked festivities.
