In Lovran - 28th of June, starting at 20:00, in front of the church of St. George, will be held concert of wind bands. Along with the hosts, Lovran Wind Orchestra, will play Marinići Wind Orchestra and Wind Orchestra "Star of the North" from St. Paul, Minnesota.

During the day, one will be able to purchase freshly picked Lovran cherries, taste cherry cakes and treats, or buy original Lovran souvenirs. While in the evening, the Festival ends with the slicing of a giant Lovran strudel (a 10 m long strudel) and performance by folklore ensemble.

11th Cherry Days in Lovran will be held from 11th to 19th of June 2011. The main festivities are organized on Saturday, 11th of June 2011 starting at 18:00. The cutting of a large 10 meter strudel will be at 20:30. Participants: Quartet "Istria" (polka and waltz), and the folklore ensemble KUD "Zvir" from Jelenje who will perform at 21:00. The cherry cakes and freshly picked cherries will be offered as well as souvenirs and other local products. During the Days of Cherries, Lovran restaurants will offer cakes and desserts of Lovran cherries.

After two played, follows the third darts tournament on Wednesday in a Coffee bar Guc. Registration fee is 30 kn per player. If you're not playing, you are invited to come and support the players. Applications at the bar of "Guc".

The exhibition by Eda Mihovilic: "Collage - a cake of reality" is opened from 4th to 27th of June 2011 at Gallery Laurus, Lovran.
Eda Mihovilić, was born in 1950. in Volosko. Elementary school and grammar school in Opatija. She studied at the Pedagogical Academy in Rijeka, Department of Fine Arts, and spent lifetime working as an arranger-decorator in Opatija. He lives and works in Poljane (Icici). Since 2005. was actively engaged in painting, art participates in many meetings and events, and has won several awards.
