Volcán, an all-star group featuring the prodigious talents of Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Jose Armando Gola, Horacio 'El Negro' Hernandez and Giovanni Hidalgo is the product of years of friendship, respect and a diverse and rich musical heritage. With over 150 albums between them as leaders and sidemen, these highly revered musicians have joined forces to our delight.

Al Di Meola, Charlie Haden, Dizzy Gillespie and Paul Simon are just a few of the famous names that have called on the services of the musicians who make up the group Volcan. According to the critics, band members Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Horacio ‘El Negro’ Hernandez, Giovanni Hidalgo and Armando Gola can all be called pioneers of modern Latin jazz.

The band members can be heard on over 150 albums as soloists or accompanists. The quartet has also received many Grammy nominations and awards, as well as other prizes and distinctions all over the globe. The band’s Volcan project is yet again earning them great respect.
