Process of globalization and europeization has strongly affected legal systems and legal cultures of post-communist European states. After a prolonged period of isolation, they faced a challenge of catching-up with the European mainstream.

The conference will bring together leading academics and high court judges in order to discuss the evolving role of courts in supranational and international governance, and the increasing impact of courts on legal culture in European post-communist states.
