Miroslav Škoro, someone who can sell out even the greatest halls in Croatia without difficulty, will have the opportunity to draw crowds to the Summer Stage in Opatija. He started his career in 1985 with the tamburitza orchestra "Slavonski Bećari" and already at that point, Miroslav Škoro’s destiny could have been anticipated, including the songs he would sing and write. During his studies in America, he met Jerry Grcevich, who encouraged him towards his true love – writing lyrics according to the cult Slavonian music. Organizer: HVIDRA Opatija

One more Croatian exclusive intended only for the audience in Opatija – the concert by the great Al Jarreau, also famous as the only musician in the world who has won 7 Grammies in three different genres - pop, jazz and R&B, and manages well in all of them. Now he has taken a step even further: the new song with which he announces his “best of” compilation, which will be presented at this concert, produced by Amir "Questlove" Thompson, the drummer of the hip-hop band The Roots and the producer of Erykah Badu and Al Green.

Matt Bianco were one of the most popular British jazz-pop groups of the 1980s and 1990s, when they had a large number of hits on within the world music charts (Best Single, 1985, European Club Track, 1988). Their latest album “HIFI Bossanova”, currently an absolute hit on the European music scene, is rated as “a contagious cocktail of Brazilian music styles and pop finesses”.

Main organizer: Cultural-Entertainment Association “Opatija”. This year’s Festival of A capella Singers and Mandolins will gather the best Croatian a capella singing groups which use traditional acoustic instruments. The goal of the Festival is to present a capella groups at a festival which cherishes both quality and tradition, and is also trying to present Croatian authentic music to local, as well as foreign audiences with dignity.

Another Croatian “exclusive” intended only for “The Summer under the Stars” in Opatija. The famous Natalie Cole is the daughter of the legendary Nat King Cole and the singer of the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Marie Cole. In her rich musical career she has sold millions of albums, winning as many as 9 Grammies, the most recent this year for the album “Still Unforgettable”.
At the concert in Opatija she will perform along with the Croatian Radio-Television Symphony Orchestra.

Zoran Predin, is a renowned Slovenian musician, poet and singer-composer. He is known for his excellent music in numerous Slovenian films, television shows and theater plays, for many lyrics which have become almost public property, and for unforgettable chansons. We will have the opportunity to hear him in Opatija in the exclusive version with the Gipsy Swing Band and a musical expression which fits best into his expressive and recognizable poetics.

Looking for Eric is a 2009 British film about the escape from the trials of modern life that football and its heroes can bring for its fans. It was written by screen writer Paul Laverty and directed by English director Ken Loach. The film's cast includes former professional footballer Eric Cantona and former bassist with The Fall, Steve Evets.
