Der Respekt vor dem Klang ihrer Instrumente, sowie die Lust am gemeinsamen Entwickeln der damit möglichen neuen Klangbilder, führt zwei Musiker zusammen. Der Cellist Matthias Bartolomey und der Geiger und Mandolaspieler Klemens Bittmann führen in ihrem Zusammenspiel ihr stark in der klassischen Musiktradition verankertes Instrumentarium auf einen neuen Weg. Mit Spontanität und Improvisation der Jazzästhetik verbinden sie intim groovende bis hin zu kraftvoll rockenden Elemente.
"Selten hat man Streicher gehört, die sich so lustvoll dem Groove hingeben. BartolomeyBittmann bringen jene musikalische Tugenden leichtfüssig auf den Punkt, die man üblicherweise nicht mit klassischen Instrumenten verbindet: Unbändige Spiellust und radikalen Rhythmus."

PURPUR IN JEANS ist ein „klassischer“ Tribut an all jene Genres, die so oft den Vergleich mit der so genannten „Ernsten Musik“ aushalten müssen, ein Tribut an die qualitätsvolle „Unterhaltungsmusik“ sowie an andere traditionelle Weisen aus ganz Europa. Eine Melange aus klassisch ausgebildeten Musikern und virtuosen Straßenmusikern „performt“ ein eigens für Purpur arrangiertes Programm. Virtuose Weltmusik vollkommen neu instrumentiert und interpretiert!

Das IMPERIAL COLLEGE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA bildet wohl das Flaggschiff unter den Universitätsorchester Großbritanniens. 2008 zum Beispiel wurde es Universitätsorchester von Großbritannien.

RetrO Opatija Festival is a music event that takes place in early November at the famous Crystal Hall of the Kvarner Hotel.
On the first evening, which will take place on 6 November will be a tribute to composer and musician Ivo Robić, as part of the 15th anniversary of his death.
Robic songs in new arrangements will perform Marko Tolja, Jacques Houdek and Damir Kedžo.
The arrangement signed by Olja Dešić and Zvjezdan Ruzic, and with three vocalists, invaluable help was provided by Branimir Gazdik (drums), John Pešut (guitar), Oliver Eres (alto and tenor saxophones) Antonio Geček (trumpet), Marin Ferketin (trombones) and Dešić on bass and keyboards Ruzic. Bus was shot at Studio Marathon, study and study Bat $ DK.
