16th Children's Carnival Parade Opatija

Children's carnival parade is one of the most beautiful events in Opatija. The procession of imaginative little character passes the center of Opatija with music and laughter. CANCELLED DUE TO THE WEATHER CONDITIONS!

Kandelora or Candlemas

The most important day for Mošćenice is celebrating the Kandelora or Candlemas, when the believers carry candles to the dedication of the Church of St.. Andrew, this date was declared a historic day of Mošćenice, solemnly celebrated every year in early February.

Carnival campus 2012

Carnival campus, set up by the road Matulji - Jušići, opens on Saturday, 21st of January, at 21.00 h with the performance of Koktelsi and Lady Luna!

16: 00 - Raising of Pust (dummy) and the carnival flag on well Kancelir, and the handover of the keys to Brežanski bell-ringers. "Gemajzeri", with singer Tina Čutura will perform a new carnival song. Carnival Flag Hoisting 2012

Each year, on 17th od January, the Carnival flag is hoisted together with the "pust" - Carnival puppet who is to blame for every evil in the past year, which is put trial and burned at the end of Carnival.
